Obama shared one of his favorite new books. People are loving its clear message to Trump.

Obama’s summer reading list is great. If only he could share it with Trump.

Barack and Michelle Obama love reading.

While Barack was president they held a number of events to celebrate childhood literacy. The former president himself is a multiple best-selling author.

And he often shares his summer reading list with the world. Earlier this year, he revealed some of his summer reading selections that embraced African American authors.

But now he’s back with an updated list that sends an unmistakable message to Donald Trump about the truth.

“This summer I've been absorbed by new novels, revisited an old classic, and reaffirmed my faith in our ability to move forward together when we seek the truth,” Obama wrote.

Just the facts.

One of his highlighted books is “Factfulness,” of which Obama writes:

“Factfulness by Hans Rosling, an outstanding international public health expert, is a hopeful book about the potential for human progress when we work off facts rather than our inherent biases.”

A description of the book’s focus spells out the importance of truth for us as individuals and a society, calling factfulness, “The stress reducing habit of only carrying opinions for which you have strong supported facts.”

The post has quickly gone viral with people commenting on the clear message contained inside Obama’s message.

But some of the most powerful and “liked” responses were from those who saw the moment as yet another reminder of what it truly means to be presidential.
